This months pick for the Baby Boi Book Club was Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak. A story of a young adult being hired as a baby sitter in a nice neighborhood where nothing bad ever happens… until something does!
It was a fun thriller that took me through the drawings of 5 year old Teddy that started out as innocent drawings of rabbits, his family, etc…which gradually evolved into more sinister drawings. Something to note, the audible version of the book does NOT come with any of the drawings mentioned throughout the book, which was a pretty big let down – I recommend getting the e-reader version or hard copy.
The book really did a great job of keeping me entertained and more than that, in suspense of what is going to be happening next. If this was something I was watching instead of reading, I would be trying to cover my eyes!
Like usual, I won’t ruin anything by saying more about it; I recommend anyone looking for a good, scary campfire like story to give it a read!
A solid 3.5 out of 5 for me!
