Lake Geneva

Over the long weekend, we decided to drive over to Lake Geneva and check out some of the things it has to offer, though it was mostly going to be a relaxing trip.

Joni’s Diner

The drive wasn’t very far, so we planned to get there around lunch time. We chose to stop at Joni’s Diner, which was great!

Not shown above was a baked potato soup that was DELICIOUS! Of course, everything shown here was great and well surpassed my expectations!

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa

Cool Footage from the Resort

One of the biggest goals for this small trip was to really just relax; when traveling, we are usually in a rush to try and fit as many things as we can into our schedules, only to come back ultra exhausted to the hotel and then eventually, home. This time around, we tried our best to enjoy what the resort has to offer!

The resort offered pools, golf, hiking, spa related treatments, excellent drinks and food, and overall, relaxation.

These are a few of the meals we had over at the resort, each one being really great! There are a few restaurants located within the resort, of which we tried the buffets at the Grand Cafe and the fish and pasta at their other location – everything was delicious! It’s been a while since we have eaten at a buffet style place, but this did not disappoint! We had both the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet!

Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva is full of interesting history that overlaps a lot with Chicago! There is always something going on as well! Boat tours, the beach, the 21 mile walking path around the lake, or simply walking around the small downtown area!

Until Next Time…

Overall, it was a great trip and look forward to coming back! Plenty of things to do that we didn’t get to do (remember, our goal this time around was relaxing a bit more…).

Here is a quick video of our trip overall! Enjoy!
