Last weekend, I had the opportunity to camp with Snowpeak and Field Theory in Hermann, MO at Hermann Farms! This was about a 6 hour drive, although my friend and I spent the night in St. Louis, MO to make sure we arrived at a good time to camp on Friday!
St. Louis, MO
The stay here was mostly out of convenience, but it was nice. We stayed at the Drury Hotel which gave us some drink tickets and best of all, some snacking hot dogs in the afternoon!
Unfortunately, going to The Gateway Arch was out of the question because of the recent furloughs…but at least we got to look at it from our window at the hotel.

At night, there was a nearby ramen place, Menya Rui, that was also pretty great! Great place to have some dinner to really set the mood for camping with Snowpeak, a japanese outdoor company.

Hermann Farms
The main event was camping with Snowpeak and Field Theory at Hermann Farms. This was a ticketed event, 2 nights, and plenty of activities.

Each of us really got a chance to set up all of our snowpeak gear to our hearts content, which was really cool to see and make some new friends!
Friday night, Snowpeak hosted a family style dinner brought to you by some japanese chefs that were in the US for the first time, for this event!

They had birding, tie-dying, anodizing, trail running, community takibi time, coffee on each of the mornings (also brought to you by a barista from Japan/Australia),

They also had a bar available each evening, which was pretty great. Got to try some great bourbon, sake, and beer! On Saturday, my friend and I made our meal, which was a steak, baked potato, and veggies.

A couple of things I would have for feedback, but overall, great experience. Always a good time when outside and the only thing have to worry about is how to spend your day and what to eat!

Enjoy this small video of the event!
